When the leaves start to fall and the weather turns cold enough for us to turn on our dusty fireplaces, one big question remains in all of our minds: when is the right time to start listening to Christmas music? Many stores seem to think before Halloween is the right time to start displaying Christmas decorations, but can the same be said for Christmas music?

According to an Instagram survey taken among Shorewood students, the majority of people believe that the beginning of November is the best time to start indulging in Christmas music. Second place goes to after Thanksgiving which is also a great choice, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s up to you to decide when you’d like to begin listening to Christmas music. Another important question that can not go unanswered is what is the best Christmas music to be listening to?

Albums like Frank Sinatra’s “A Jolly Christmas” and Ella Fitzgerald’s “Ella Wishes You a Swinging Christmas” are winter classics that you’ll never tire of, or if you’re looking for something a little more modern, Ariana Grande’s “Christmas and Chill” album is a great choice.
