In March 2020, schools were closed and our normal seventh grade was cut short. The start of eighth grade with online school as our new normal was confusing and chaotic, but we stayed strong and didn’t let any of the time we had at home go to waste, by spending quality time with family and keeping in touch with friends more. Moving up to the ninth grade and on came with different challenges and changes: mask mandates were imposed and lifted, we had to say goodbye to the T-Bird and welcome the Stormray as our new mascot, and we had to run around to all kinds of places for the SAT. We were also the first class to graduate that got to experience the traditional homecoming for the first time since the pandemic.
We lived in a monumental time and in any great or worst moments, we made the best out of our high school experience. Looking back, the word “change” can only accurately define our time in high school with everything we’ve gone through. These challenges transformed us to be who we are today and truly proved the class of 2025 to be resilient, positive, and powerful individuals. We are grateful for what we had and we know that these four years will become a great leverage for our future endeavors.
