“According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly.”
— Bee Movie
Not only could a bee defy the laws of physics, but also have a surprising amount of charisma to steal your woman away. The Bee Movie is an animated film classic directed by Steve Hickner and Simon J. Smith, that came out around 2007.
This movie is about bees and the unjust treatment humans give to them; stealing honey the bees make and sell under big corporations and take all the profit as the bees have no benefits, slaving mindlessly all their life to produce this resource. Also teaching the importance of bees’ existence and their job of pollination.
No, it totally isn’t about working and having to spend your money so that our system doesn’t collapse and create another great depression. Thanks capitalism.
Within the movie we are introduced to our main character and senior name, Barry B Benson. The bee who does it all, similar to us, starts his life within the beginning of this movie, graduating for just a comedic seconds and is forced upon jobs contributing to his society that don’t seem like the right fit to him.
Barry sets out of his boundaries, going out into the big world outside, finding out about and doing so much to find himself. He meets a woman and somehow pulls her, he finds out about the unjust actions humans have against bees, he successfully sues the entirety of the human race, as well as brought this whole colony of bees together to save a plane from crashing and re-pollinated the entirety of earth.
This movie to review, is complete and utter nonsense and chaotic, but there are bright sides to it that we can take from it, as seniors and about to graduate soon and trying to discover yourself and what you want to do with your life..
If one small bee can make a big impact and choose a path he’s interested in, you’ll be able to find that path and push to what you want also, you don’t have to know nor make an impact on anything, whatever you choose to do, you’ll make it.
