Winter Coat Drive
If you would like to help Shoreline students stay warm during the fall and winter, you can participate in The Works’ winter coat drive. It will run from now until December. Any winter coats, in adult (XS-3XL) or child (4T-16) sizes, are accepted. The drive is held every Wednesday night, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Drop off coats at The Works (located in Shoreline Center) or your school. Fall Play “Little Women”
If you are a fan of the classic novel “Little Women,” a fan of theater, or, better yet, you just want to have a great time and be entertained by the drama department, you will want to attend the fall play, “Little Women.” Shows will be held in the Shorewood theater on Nov. 14-16 at 7 p.m., and later on Nov. 21-23, also at 7 p.m. Tickets are available on the Shorewood website on the homepage, or under Activities > Clubs and Student Groups > Drama.
Thanksgiving Break
Our first set of multiple days off from school in over a month will be Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29. Additionally, Wednesday, Nov. 27, will be a half day.
Juniors Aiming For College
Juniors who are looking to apply to a college soon will want to attend this session. Juniors Aiming For College presentations will take place in the theater during SAS on Tuesday, Nov. 5, and Tuesday, Nov. 12. General information about applying to college and more will be the focus.
Veterans Day
Monday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day. It will be a day off from school, dedicated to veterans of the United States military. The Veterans Day assembly will take place on Friday, Nov. 8.
Career Speaker Series at Shoreline Teen Center
On Friday, Nov. 8, at 4 p.m., at the Shoreline Teen Center, Tae Keller, New York Times bestselling author of When You Trap a Tiger and The Science of Breakable Things, will speak about her career, and give advice to youth. There will be food available at the event as well.
