Spring Musical “The Drowsy Chaperone”
Support your drama department by seeing the Shorewood spring musical “The Drowsy Chaperone.” “The Drowsy Chaperone” follows the story of Man in Chair, as he is known in the show, as he tries to cure his sadness by listening to a 1928 musical comedy, “The Drowsy Chaperone.” As the man listens, he gets sucked into the musical. Come see the musical any night April 11-14 and April 17-20 at 7 p.m. in the Shorewood theater.
Spring Break
Spring break is coming up next month in April. Enjoy the week of rising temperatures, relax and unwind, or do some last-minute studying for your AP tests in May. Spring break is April 22-26.
Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Several clubs, like Psychology Club and Life Savers, as well as other groups on campus, will be having meetings throughout the month to educate and share mental health resources.
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
Do you have a favorite teacher? Maybe a few? Are there any staff members you think deserve more love? Consider getting them something for Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week on May 6 through 10.
Across the Pacific Heritage Night
May is also recognized as Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. To celebrate their heritage, several groups on campus, such as the Japanese National Honor Society and the Filipino American Student Association, are putting on Across the Pacific Culture Night on May 17 here in the Shorewood Commons. Join us to celebrate and honor the AANHPI students, staff, and families of the Seattle-Shoreline community.
