Summer Drink Recipes

Virgin Mojito

For a relaxing summer evening on the patio, make a virgin Mojito! All you need is a lime, some sugar, ice and seltzer water of any flavor. (5 mins)

  • Squeeze 1 lime in your glass.
  • Add the sugar, I would start out just a table spoon but this part is really up to your taste
  • Ice, ice baby. For this I would shoot for in between a Starbucks and a restaurant’s amount of ice, so like half the glass.
  • Add the seltzer, flavor of your choice and have fun with it, personally that black cherry flavor from Polar taste mad fine!

Pina Colada

Sing it with me, “If you like Pina Colada!” That’s right what kind of summer drinks list would this be if I didn’t include a 21 and under friendly Pina Colada. Get together with your best mates, dress like classic tourists and grab a blender. (15 mins)

For 2 servings you’ll need a bag of frozen pineapple chunks, pineapple juice, some ice cream, coconut milk, and some maraschino cherries or pineapple wedges if you want to go the extra mile and garnish.

  • Blend the 10-oz. of pineapple chunks, 1 cup of ice cream (about 4 scoops), cup of coconut milk and half a cup of pineapple juice.
  • Pour into the glasses and if you’re still with me, it’s time to garnish baby! Grab the cherries and pineapple wedge and let your creativity fly.

Golden Latte

“Or getting caught in the rain”, summers here aren’t always the sunniest. So while stuck inside, make The Golden Latte. Get that coffee a brewin’. (10 mins)

  • To make the gold you’ll need to mix 1 tsp. of turmeric, a pinch of grounded black pepper, ¼ tsp. of ground cinnamon and a tbsp. of good ol’ water until a paste.
  • To make the latte blend 2 ½ cups of brewed coffee, 1 ⅓ cups of almond milk, 4 drops of pure vanilla extract, ½ tsp. of honey, and 2 tsp. of coconut oil. Add the gold and blend this until frothy

The two servings this makes will for sure get you through days when you want to sit at a couch and just watch the rain while listening to music.

If that’s too dull and you want to keep the party going, by all means try these next two recipes!

Frozen CocaCola!

All you need is two Coke’s and a blender!

  • Pour one Coke into an ice tray or anything to freeze the soda.
  • Once frozen, put ice into a blender, add the 2nd CocaCola and blend on high until slushy-like.

Popsicle Punch! (10 mins for 6 servings)

It is summer after all, why not combine the two most basic summer necessities?

  • In a large pitcher mix together 4 cups of lemonade, 4 cups of lemon lime soda, 1 can of soda water, about a cup of sliced strawberries, 2 mangos cubed.
  • When poured into cups add your choice of popsicle into the cup.
